Tango Fantasia

Artist:  Art Fairchild

Donated by the Addison Arbor Foundation

AAF commissioned Dallas artist Art Fairchild to create Tango Fantasia. The sculpture consists of two 15 foot-tall stainless steel geometric columns combining beautiful patterning on the exterior surfaces with a mirrored finish on the interior surfaces. The project features a date-driven lighting program that enhances holiday and special events with dynamic nightly displays. Key to this experience are mirror-polished surfaces that face each other, creating a mesmerizing effect of reflections upon reflections. This visual detail invites viewers to engage their imagination and explore various interpretations. Although inspired by the concept of two dancing figures, the primary aim of this abstract piece for the Town of Addison is to evoke themes of unity, connection, and cooperation.
