Annual Color Belts

Every winter, the Addison Parks Department plants more than 55,000 tulip and daffodil bulbs throughout the Town, making it one of the most beautiful gardens in the Metroplex.

Our color beds are located in residential neighborhoods and high-traffic areas for maximum exposure and enjoyment. We use a variety of plant material to make our color bed beautiful and appealing to all who visit Addison!

Pollinator Patches

A pollinator patch is an urban ecosystem comprised of predominately native Texas perennial plants that will provide food and cover for butterflies, birds, and bees. Research indicates that the number of pollinators in the U.S. is in decline. By limiting the use of pesticides and planting pollinator-friendly plants in our urban areas, we can be a part of the solution.

Our pollinator patches have signs that signify the use of pollinator-friendly plants and organic maintenance principles in that area. Look out for them while you are out enjoying Addison's great parks and trails!
