This page highlights routine and operational landscape maintenance, repairs, and small-scale enhancement projects that are not part of the Town’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) in Addison Circle District.

Addison Circle Park – Drainage Improvements

Addison Circle Park – Drainage Improvements

Status: Under Review

Description: Storm Drainage issues near Bowl Stage (Lawn area adjacent to the lower water basin on the east side of the park) causes ponding in the park and during heavy storm events water drains into the lower fountain basin.  A drainage study is being prepared that will recommend short-term drainage improvements to the immediate area and longer-term solutions to the storm drain system in Festival Way.

Timeline: Design Phase – February 2026 through May 2026. Construction – TBD, will be coordinated around Special Events Dates. 

Impact Notice: Impacts include earthwork, drain replacement and re-sodding. During this time, this section of the park may not be accessible.

Addison Circle Park - Water Basin Fountain Repairs

Addison Circle Park –Water Basin Fountain Repairs 

Status: Active

Description: Water basin fountain repairs include tile replacement and planned replastering to extend service life while larger root-related repairs are evaluated.

Timeline: Contract slated to go to Council in March and work beginning in April. Once contract is approved, a detailed construction schedule will be provided. 

Impact Notice: Fountains may be temporarily offline during repairs or freezing weather.

Description: The Town is exploring alternative materials to address tree root impacts on existing traffic-rated grates, with mulch solutions being analyzed. 

Timeline: TBD (currently analyzing solutions)

Addison Circle Park – Turf Maintenance & Sod Replacement

Status: Active

Description: Turf health improvements include aeration, topdressing, fertilization, and targeted sod replacement in high-traffic areas. Improvements to include addition of decomposed granite along the southeast edge of the park where shade prohibits turf establishment. 

Timeline: February–Summer 2026

  • February 2nd: Sod restoration on the Northwest section of the park completed
  • Week of March 9th: Aeration and topdressing with sand
  • Early April: Micronutrients top dressing
  • TBD: Decomposed granite installation 

Impact Notice: Temporary fencing will restrict access in resodded areas to allow establishment.

Bosque Park – Landscape Enhancements

Bosque Park – Landscape Enhancements

Status: Planning

Description: Refurbishment of Bosque Park is proposed to replace understory plant materials that have been lost from weather events.  The project includes refurbishing decomposed granite paths, irrigation system improvements, lighting upgrades and understory plantings.  Staff has completed plans and will be gathering public input regarding plant selection and the addition of a small nature-based play elements, interpretive signage and additional seating. 

Timeline: Concept Review and Approval – Spring 2026

Impact Notice: Temporary fencing may be installed in select areas. Please note: Park may be closed to the public during construction.

Bosque Park – Tree Planter Well Improvements

Bosque Park – Tree Well Improvements

Status: Planning

Description: The Town is installing sample improvements to tree planter wells, where shrubs have been lost.   A resident survey will be rolled out in the spring to help guide material and design choices.  Following public input a larger restoration project will be implemented along Quorum.

Timeline: Spring–Summer 2026 (Anticipated)

  • Anticipated May 2026: Plant Installation 

Impact Notice: Installation of concrete curbs for resident input will include construction noise and dust. To not impact adjacent business construction has been limited to 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM which has extended the scheduled from 4 days to 14 days. Impacts of future restoration project will be determined once resident survey is completed.

Spruill Dog Park – Operations & Turf Improvements

Status: Active

Description: Adjusted Pet Waste Cleaning Schedule back to 3 times per week.  Sgt. Poopers will close the dog park when they are working.  To offset this staff will beginning opening the dog park up for use Tuesday evenings.    Sod replacement is anticipated in the spring.  Staff will work to keep a portion of the dog park open during this period.  Once work is scheduled notification will be provided a minimum of 2-weeks prior.


Timeline: Ongoing

Impact Notice: Park is temporarily closed during scheduled cleanings and during sod installation periods.

Townwide – Tree Maintenance Program

Townwide – Tree Maintenance Program

Status: Limited / Reactive

Description: Annual tree pruning in the district was completed in the fall.  Any tree maintenance that occurs during this budget year will be limited to safety concerns such as wind damage or resident requests such as branches rubbing windows / overhanging structures. 

Timeline: Ongoing (Reactive)

Impact Notice: Minor pruning to address wind damage or resident requests will create isolated noise and may temporarily require closure of adjacent walks
