Join the Parks and Recreation team this season as a lifeguard or camp counselor and make a splash in the community! We're looking for energetic, inclusive, and passionate individuals to create a fun and safe environment at our outdoor pool and seasonal camps. Hiring Process

Apply

Fill out our application online. Be sure to answer all questions you can. If you do not have previous job experience, you can list another person who can tell us more about you like a coach or a teacher.

Interview

Our Human Resources Department will reach out to you and schedule an interview. These can be done in person or over Zoom. We will ask you questions about your experience and relevant skills. This is also a chance for you to ask us questions about the position and the Athletic Club!

Follow-Up

An HR representative will call you to follow-up about the interview. If you have any questions on your application or interview status, contact Addison HR at 972-450-2817.

Summer Camp

Become a part time counselor or a full-time camp lead and spend your summer in Addison leading activities, swimming at the pool, and taking field trips! Our summer camp is for kids ages 6-12, and runs 10 weeks from June 2 - August 8.

Pay

  • Camp Counselor starting at $16.50/hour
  • Camp Lead starting at $21.00/hour

Bonus

  • $300 signing bonus if available starting May 27

Hours

Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm

  • Camp Counselor: Part-time (25 hours/week)
  • Camp Lead: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • CPR/AED certification

Seasonal Outdoor Pool

Join our team at the outdoor pool this summer and enjoy the sun, stay active, and gain valuable experience while helping others have safe, fun time!

Pay

  • Lifeguard: $16.25/hour
  • Head Lifeguard: $19.75/hour
  • Pool Supervisor: $21.75/hour

Bonuses

  • $300 for starting by May 18 and able to work Memorial Day weekend
  • $250 for starting by May 28
  • $150 for starting by June 16
  • $50 for referring another lifeguard who is hired
  • $50 for working a holiday
  • $250 for working through end of season on Labor Day

Hours

Monday - Saturday 11:45am - 8pm

Sunday 12:45pm - 6pm

Part-time (16-24 hours/week) or full-time (40 hours/week)

  • Head Lifeguard and Pool Supervisor: Full-time (40 hours/week)
