East Addison Trail

The Town of Addison is excited to begin the process to gather input on potential Trail and Park improvements in East Addison. The City-Wide Trails Master Plan(PDF, 32MB) (CWTMP), adopted in May 2021, identified the need for an East Addison trail system as a key priority for local connectivity. The trail is one of the last opportunities to develop a traditional trail through a natural area, and it will play a critical role in linking East and West Addison.

Dunaway Associates, our consulting team, is evaluating possible passive and logistical amenities through a current feasibility study, and public input will be key in finalizing these plans. The public engagement process kicked off at the Spring Town Meeting on April 1, 2025. Attendees had the first opportunity to review the proposed feasibility study area to include a potential trail alignment, explore its strategic benefits, and provide input on potential features through an interactive survey.

If you were not at the meeting and would like to share your thoughts, please take our survey before May 1. Your feedback will help shape the future of this important trail connection. This project represents one of the last opportunities to establish a scenic, natural pathway linking the Town Hall natural area, the Addison Finance property, Winnwood Park, and the White Rock Creek Trail.
